We didn't hope to have the numbers of the sales so soon, but Square Enix announced this morning that 1 million of copies of Final Fantasy XIII were sold... the first day! If this result is already extraordinary, the game being now the first best seller in Japan, on PS3, the bundles Lightning Edition aren't still inserted on this result, and so, it's impossible to know how many are currently sold. Yesterday, Yôichi Wada simply announced that 1.8 million of copies have been released in the whole country, bundles included.
The OST of the game, scheduled for the 27th January 2010, should also realize an excellent score. By judging from the small samples we can hear here and there, we are sure that the work of Masashi Hamauzu is simply awesome, from the beginning to the end. Also, SE have just uploaded a small video in order to present this OST, in the "Movie" part of the official website. I will let you guess what we can ear
For the Europe, SE should make an announcement this month. We are still hoping to see the collector edition coming. Final Fantasy XIII in the West, it's only in 81 days!
