FF XIV: The OST

The information isn't yet official, but the details about the original soundtrack of Final fantasy XIV have been revealed in listings of a few Japanese websites, given by VGMdb. This revelation is surprising, as, for the first time of the series, the musics of the game will be divided in two parts, each on separated discs. The first one, Field Tracks (reference SQEX-10203), will contain the exploration tracks, wile the second, Battle Tracks (reference SQEX-10204), will contain..... the battle related tracks. All the musics of the game have been created by Nobuo Uematsu, a first since Final Fantasy IX.

The two discs, whose names aren't definitive yet, will be released the same day at the same prize, the 29th September for 1500 yens each.

To separate the OST is something new, but also contain some flows, as the owner of one disc will only have one kind of music. The last thing left to be known is something as a Movie Tracks is also scheduled. The game having around 100 titles, it is hard to imagine them all on only two discs.
