You are aware that each release of a Final Fantasy is accompanied with several official guides, explaining both the context, the scenario and the mythology of the game, but also detailing every point of the adventure, in order to assist the players who are wishing to finish the game at 100%. Today, Square Enix officially announced the release of the guides Scenario Ultimania and Battle Ultimania for Final Fantasy XIII.
Both Mooks (for "magazine books") will be available the 28th January 2010 in Japan. The first will be offered for 1.575 yen (17.41 $), the second for 1.680 yen (18.57 $). Note that these books are usually accompanied by very pretty artworks. Also, it appears that the V Jump has found a nice way to enjoy the success of Final Fantasy XIII, offering a unique cover with the next issue of the magazine.
Final Fantasy XIII is available since the 17th December in Japan. It will be available the 9th March in the West on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Even if pre-orders of the simple version has began, reservations and therefore the information of the collector version will be delivered later this month. So, you will still have to wait if you want the limited edition.
